This is the second annual induction of women, hosted by Chicago Business Journal. The award focuses on women business leaders who foster environments that create more successful women in the future.
The winners include female business leaders in the Chicago metropolitan area who demonstrate outstanding marketplace achievements as well as commitments to their local community and a focus on mentoring. They were selected by a group of advisers and editors from the American City Business Journal, a parent company of Chicago Business Journal.
For over ten years, Ms. Spencer has tirelessly helped Perma-Seal develop a strong set of core values and fosters a thriving company culture. She consistently works towards implementing these ambitious values within the Perma-Seal Tribe while emphasizing one of their core values: “We work smart, act with urgency and remain constructively discontent.” Believing and living according to her values, Ms. Spencer has said, “You cannot teach others, if you aren’t always learning and seeking personal improvement.”
Serving as the company’s inspirational force, she is seen by her peers as a strong and compassionate onbusinesswoman. Ms. Spencer is on the Board of Directors for Loaves & Fishes Community Services, a DuPage County non-profit organization. She spearheads donation drives and fundraisers within Perma-Seal for many local non-profit organizations, including DuPage PADS, Bernie’s Book Bank, SEASPAR and Downers Grove Chamber of Commerce Attainable Futures program, to name a few.
