If I could give more than 5-Stars, I would.
In 2018 we purchased a U.S. Waterproofing sump pump back up system. I believe we paid approximately $2,300, at that time. This week, the system gave out as it kept beeping and the inverter was constantly running. I called U.S. Waterproofing to have a technician come-out to check the system. I was informed, because it was older than 3-years old and out of warranty, U.S. Waterproofing would no longer service the system. What a waste of my money!!

Since we frequently travel, a sump pump back-up system is a necessity. I called Parma-Seal, hoping to get an appointment within a couple days and I was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment for a technician to come to our house within 3-4 hours. As promised, Perma-Seal’s technician, Jeremiah Owens, called and provided an estimated time of arrival, which was 3:00 PM. Promptly at 2:55 PM, Jeremiah was at our door.

Jeremiah immediately identified himself and handed me his business card, which I felt was very professional. We then went downstairs to evaluate our back-up system, which I did not expect Parma-Seal to service. After carefully listening to our situation, Jeremiah provided a couple suggestions for a new back-up system. I did not feel that he was trying to “up sale” me or pressure me into purchasing one of Perma-Seal’s Systems. In fact, he suggested I go with the less expensive system, because it would better meet my needs and requirements. I was impressed when he informed me, the more expensive system would be over-kill. I truly appreciated his honesty. We then sat down as he explained the benefits of the systems and reviewed the breakdown of the cost(s). I felt very comfortable with my purchase, since Jeremiah made sure I understood the technology that was built into the system.

Subsequently, by 4:00 PM, Jeremiah was dismantling U.S. Waterproofing’s useless system and began installing our new Basement Defender. I can’t emphasize enough, the professionalism and care he took with installing the new system. Since we have a smaller Sump Pit, Jeremiah found a way to make all the pumps fit. He took his time and made sure all parts and electrical cords were neatly zip tied, as to not hang in an unsightly manner. We have had several plumbers service the pit, over the years, including U.S. Proofing, and never (and I mean NEVER) has a technician cleaned-up after themselves, like Jeremiah did. The area was spotless, when he was done.

After the installation was completed, Jeremiah was extremely patient, as he guided me through the app. set-up of the system. He made sure I understood all the benefits, ie. Temperature and humidity readings, remote testing and exactly how the system would inform, if it got tripped by an electrical failure or excessive water in the pit.

It was approximately 7:15 PM, when Jeremiah left our house. Not once did he mention anything about the length of time it took or the time of night, on a Friday. Also, Jeremiah was as pleasant when he left, as he was when he introduced himself.

I cannot give Jeremiah sufficient, “KUDOS” for an outstanding job. Not only was he professional in his work responsibilities, but his outstanding personality should be an example to anyone who works in a customer service industry. Parma-Seal should be proud to have such a dedicated and committed representative. He is truly a positive “face” for the company! Thank You, Jeremiah – Ron and Kathy Smith

Jason from Perma Seal did a great job to identify crawl space issues.

Gene performed my preventative maintenance check and ran into a few spiders/webs who were residing in my crawlspace as well!! He checked all 15 points listed on the PMA check list well, made some suggestions and checked my water heater as an additional request I had. Gene is a competent professional with a pleasant personality who is an asset to your company.

Scheduled routine maintenance call for liners and pumps in both crawlspaces and the replacement filter in dehumidifier. Miguel Guerrero came out and was excellent in taking care of everything and explaining about what he did and he was even able to fit through the small opening to our second crawl space! Excellent work and product and would recommend your company.

Matt T. and Chris D. came to reconnect the plumbing and electric after the other work was finished. They did a great job and even went the extra mile to make sure that some previous plumbing problems were not going to leak and cause a problem. They also moved the freezer and work bench back into place instead of making me wait for other laborers to come and do that. Not only do they do really nice work, but they sure went the extra mile.

Rich Betts did a thorough inspection of my sump pump system and explained some of the features of the newer models. He also did a thorough inspection of the crawl space for cracks and, at my request, also looked for possible entry ways into the crawl space for mice of which I occasionally have had problems with. He discovered three cracks that he identified as needing attention and also a possible entry where mice might be getting in. Rich was extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure dealing with Rich.

Sergio and his crew were great. Efficient, knowledgeable, polite, hard working. It was not easy going up and down the stairs carrying heavy concrete, stones, supplies. They were dedicated to doing a great job and they did. They were real pros and real gentlemen.

I have a dirt crawl space in southern Wisconsin. High water table. Had bad experience with other waterproofing company Perma-Seal came in and gave me detailed description on how to correctly do job. From beginning to end, Perma-Seal did EVERYTHING they said they would. Had engineer inspect their work. He was VERY impressed with Perma-Seal. I would recommend Perma-Seal to everybody. I love what perma seal did to my crawl space. I had just exposed concrete walls and gravel floors. My crawl space always smelled wet, dank and a little moldy, i had perma seal come out and encapsulate the whole thing. I can tell you that every single time I go into the crawl space a smile creeps across my face seeing the nice job they did, plus it is ten times easier to get around in there now that i am no longer crawling on rocks. We also had cracks in the foundation and they were handled easly by the perma seal team. I love the work perma seal did and I will always ring there bell. P.S i had my work done more than 10 years ago and it looks as nice as the day i got it done.

Brian M came to my home for a problem with my crawl space. I had my crawl space perma sealed without having a drain tile installed 9 years ago. I had gotten a lot of big puddles of water from the heavy rain we recently had. Brian very patiently explained why this happened. The water had no where to go without having a drain tile. He took so much time with me and I felt like as if my own nephew was helping me. I told him I would call him to let him know what I decided. A few hours later I called him to say I was signing the contract. He was about 40 minutes away just leaving another customer. I asked him since they couldn’t do the job till June 23 what should I do in the meantime. After a full day of work at 7pm he offered to come back to my house and wipe up all the many puddles with old towels that he said to get together. I was amazed how he went above and beyond the excellent service i had already received. It is very rare these days!He is im sure one of your most valuable employees. I will definitely spread the word.

Manny did a great job today installing a new sump pump. He was quick and efficient and very polite. It was a pleasure working with him.

Tyler came out to look at an old sump pump that wasn’t working correctly. He took a look and he told us the system was 17 years old. (Permaseal) We tried to buy a new battery which wasn’t working the best. So we needed to update what we currently had. Tyler was very knowledgeable about permaseal products and talked to us about updating our current system. We have two sump pumps so we decided to update both units. Tyler got to work. Had the parts on the truck and didn’t have to come back to install. He installed both units fairly quickly. Cleaned up and left the area in the way he found it. Went over the basement defender app and he was out the door. What a nice guy!!! I would recommend Permaseal/Tyler to anybody that needs your services!! 5 out of 5 Stars!!!
