If I could give more than 5-Stars, I would.
In 2018 we purchased a U.S. Waterproofing sump pump back up system. I believe we paid approximately $2,300, at that time. This week, the system gave out as it kept beeping and the inverter was constantly running. I called U.S. Waterproofing to have a technician come-out to check the system. I was informed, because it was older than 3-years old and out of warranty, U.S. Waterproofing would no longer service the system. What a waste of my money!!

Since we frequently travel, a sump pump back-up system is a necessity. I called Parma-Seal, hoping to get an appointment within a couple days and I was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment for a technician to come to our house within 3-4 hours. As promised, Perma-Seal’s technician, Jeremiah Owens, called and provided an estimated time of arrival, which was 3:00 PM. Promptly at 2:55 PM, Jeremiah was at our door.

Jeremiah immediately identified himself and handed me his business card, which I felt was very professional. We then went downstairs to evaluate our back-up system, which I did not expect Parma-Seal to service. After carefully listening to our situation, Jeremiah provided a couple suggestions for a new back-up system. I did not feel that he was trying to “up sale” me or pressure me into purchasing one of Perma-Seal’s Systems. In fact, he suggested I go with the less expensive system, because it would better meet my needs and requirements. I was impressed when he informed me, the more expensive system would be over-kill. I truly appreciated his honesty. We then sat down as he explained the benefits of the systems and reviewed the breakdown of the cost(s). I felt very comfortable with my purchase, since Jeremiah made sure I understood the technology that was built into the system.

Subsequently, by 4:00 PM, Jeremiah was dismantling U.S. Waterproofing’s useless system and began installing our new Basement Defender. I can’t emphasize enough, the professionalism and care he took with installing the new system. Since we have a smaller Sump Pit, Jeremiah found a way to make all the pumps fit. He took his time and made sure all parts and electrical cords were neatly zip tied, as to not hang in an unsightly manner. We have had several plumbers service the pit, over the years, including U.S. Proofing, and never (and I mean NEVER) has a technician cleaned-up after themselves, like Jeremiah did. The area was spotless, when he was done.

After the installation was completed, Jeremiah was extremely patient, as he guided me through the app. set-up of the system. He made sure I understood all the benefits, ie. Temperature and humidity readings, remote testing and exactly how the system would inform, if it got tripped by an electrical failure or excessive water in the pit.

It was approximately 7:15 PM, when Jeremiah left our house. Not once did he mention anything about the length of time it took or the time of night, on a Friday. Also, Jeremiah was as pleasant when he left, as he was when he introduced himself.

I cannot give Jeremiah sufficient, “KUDOS” for an outstanding job. Not only was he professional in his work responsibilities, but his outstanding personality should be an example to anyone who works in a customer service industry. Parma-Seal should be proud to have such a dedicated and committed representative. He is truly a positive “face” for the company! Thank You, Jeremiah – Ron and Kathy Smith

The water table in our area was so high this summer that water came in through our basement walls for the first time ever! (And we have neighbors that have been in the area for over 45 years.) We contacted Perma-Seal because our neighbors had such good luck with them. They were great! A representative came out, examined our basement and told us what we should do and how much it would cost. A technician arrived at exactly the time/date they were scheduled. Things went smooth! I would highly recommend Perma-Seal to anyone who has basement water problems.

The joy of moving into my new home was dampened one Sunday night by water flowing into my finished basement. I found Perma-Seal online and the sales rep. was out the following morning to help. Over the next 6 months Rick worked with me tirelessly as we discovered that my foundation had multiple cracks that weren’t disclosed during the sale. Every team that was sent out to repair cracks in my basement was professional and courteous. My basement is now leak free and dry. I would recommend Perma-Seal to anyone who has water problems in their basement.

Perma-seal did a full perimeter basement drainage system for us along with installing a new sump pump with back-up. all was done in the 2 days allotted by people who knew what they we doing and were able to explain why the did the thing the did. We have now gone through some really heavy rains and have been dryer the ever. Each day they were here at the time promised and cleaned up prior to leaving.

This company is one of the most professional entities I have ever dealt with. From the very knowledgeable (yet not pushy) salesman, to the administrative office support, to the workmen, our experience was nothing but pleasant and seamless. Communication was open and consistent, with service reminders calls, a call just before the workmen arrived, and a follow-up call to assess our satisfaction. And the workmanship–excellent!! Everything was handled according to code, with a permit pulled, and the final product passed city inspection with flying colors. After my dad passed away this year, we knew we had to do something about a very leaky basement in order to sell the house. It was an emotional time going through my parents’ belongings and the last thing I wanted was to worry about the basement. We had two foundation cracks filled in my parents’ home and then had Perma-Seal install an entire drain tile system. The impending work was explained to us in language that we could understand and then everything went exactly as planned. Thanks to Perma-Seal’s immaculate, accurate, high-quality work, our basement is now bone dry! And the lifetime warranties and transferability to new owners gives us peace of mind as we sell my parents’ home.I would definitely recommend Perma-Seal to all of my friends and family. Before Perma-Seal: Every time it rained I’d get water in my basement…more rain, more water. One time when my boys were pushing the water to the sump pump hole they lifted the cover and there was a SNAKE! A couple days later…another snake!That was it. I called Perma-Seal. They came right out and explained everything I needed to fix my problems and gave me a price that really surprised me (pleasantly).They sent their workers out and all their work (and workers) were really great! I have a dirt crawl space in southern Wisconsin. High water table. Had bad experience with other waterproofing company Perma-Seal came in and gave me detailed description on how to correctly do job. Hyper-Jack came over to my house after I called regarding 2 cracks in my foundation in the basement. My ex attempted to fix them by putting some type of cement powder on them. Though it didn’t appear to be leaking any more, I knew that I better get a professional evaluation done. I am so glad that I did!! Jack did a water test by putting water outside of the house where the cracks were. Sure enough, as soon as he put his hose in that area, my basement started filling with water. He guided me through the process of how to resolve this issue, without breaking the bank. As a new single mother, this really meant a lot. He did not try to pressure me to buy things that I didn’t need, but made sure that I was protected. He was so nice and respectful. I highly recommend this company to anyone and everyone!

Rich Betts did a terrific job diagnosing and replacing our sump pumps and battery backup systems. He arrived within the promised window and called ahead to alert us as to when he was 1/2 hour or 1 hour away. His work was professional and he went out of his way to ensure our carpeting was unblemished. His clean up was excellent. The installation went smoothly and he took care to make the wiring neat. I am completely happy with the job he did.
